David William O'Brien came to Collin County with his family in 1857. He eventually acquired the part of the McGarrah land which included the Buckner Cemetery. This cemetery, which was established on the O'Brien land, has also been referred to as O'Brien Cemetery over the years.
David William O'Brien(Virginia 1808-1885) and four of his brothers all born in Virginia, came to Texas in 1857 via wagon train from Missouri? and settled in Buckner, Collin County, Texas, Two of the other Brothers were, George W O'Brien(1799-1876) and Drury Jefferson O'Brien (1806-1876), a large portion of them died in the 1870 during a Small Pox Epidemic any information about the other brothers and there parents would be wonderful as David William O'Brien is my Great Great Great Grandfather Jeff
