Helen H. Biddle, 100, of 3349 Wilmington Road, New Castle, passed away the evening of Sept. 27, 2009, at Jameson Care Center. Born Aug. 1, 1909, in Lorain, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George and Thelma Zajac.
She married Homer Biddle on May 31, 1941. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1988.
She was a machine operator at Johnson Bronze for 47 years. She was a member of Mary, Mother of Hope Church, the Little Flowers Club and the Cameo Card Club.
Survivors include a sister, Nell Meyers of Kettering, Ohio; two nephews, Julius Johnson of New Castle, Richard Johnson of Bend, Ore.; and five nieces, Rosemarie Mielcusny, Pat Zajac, Linda Farris, all of New Castle, and Karen Walker and Judy Meyers, both of Kettering.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joe Zajac; five sisters, Mary and Ann Johnson, Rose and Sophie Zajac and Bertha Joskolka; a niece, Joan Ann Jonnosky; and two nephews, Marion and Leonard Johnson.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road.A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday for Mary, Mother of Hope Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Victor Molka officiating.
