Wayne County Outlook
11 Feb 1937

Albert V. Bertram died at his home in Frankfort Sunday from an attack of pneumonia, with which he was sick only a few days. He had been operating a filling station in Frankfort, and the flood got up over his property, as it did nearly all of Frankfort and he went back on the job too quick suffering for a severe cold, which soon developed into pneumonia.

Mr. Bertram was a native of Sunnybrook, and for many years a leading farmer there. He was elected to the Legislature from this and Clinton counties, and following his term he continued to reside in the capital city. His brother, County Clerk B. M. Bertram and his daughter, Meadames O. F. Shearer and Willard Kennedy were called to his bedside last week.

He was a splendid citizen and numbered his friends by his acquaintances, and always had a smile and hearty welcome for all. He was a Mason of high rank and a great believer in that organization.

His remains were returned to his old home at Sunnybrook, where he was laid to rest with Masonic honors Tuesday.
