Gerald David Booth, 43, and his wife were killed in a car-truck accident Tues Feb 10, 1981, on Ill Rt 67 in Morgan Co, 6 mi south of Jacksonville. Their dau Sandra, who was with them was injured and hospitalized at Passavant Hosp in Jacksonville.

Gerald was born in Quarry twsp, Jersey Co, July 31, 1937, son of Homer Sr, & Florence (Blackstone) Booth, who survive.

He worked at Duncan Foundry in Alton for the past 2 yrs, and prior to that time was a driver of Barlage Trucking, Eldred. He married Dolores (Stonefield) Booth Nov 15, 1958, at San Bernadino, Ca.

Survivors are his parents, 3 dau, Pamela, Sandra and Sharol Booth all at home; 3 bro, Homer Booth Jr, of Eldred, Harold Booth of Wood River and Lowell Booth of Pomona, Ca; and 1 sis, Mrs Bertha Funk of Jerseyville.

Visitation was held at Airsman-Hires funeral home. Services were held at the funeral home with Rev R E George of Jerseyville United Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens, Eldred.
