Lillie Mae ADDISON, 85, of Hampton, Va., went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at the James River Convalescent Center. She was a native of Hyde County, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Addison, and her two brothers, Thomas Brooks and Joshua D. Brooks. Mrs. Addison did domestic work and provided childcare until her health failed and she could no longer work. She loved attending and participating in church activities. She also loved to sing. She lived an abundant life and leaves behind many relatives and friends to cherish her memory. Her dear friend, Brenda Graves; her two special cousins, Goldie Talton and Dallie Trotman; and her two godchildren, Sidne Graves and Cerissa Harvey will sorely miss her. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, 1013 Todds Lane, Hampton. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Family and friends will assemble at 3304 Loring Court, Hampton, by 10:15 a.m. for the procession to the church on Saturday. Arrangements are by O.H. Smith and Son Funeral Home.
