ACCARDO, Lisa Anne (Lepri)- Of Flint, age 56, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Brian's House Hospice after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011
at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,

Entombment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church or the American Diabetes Association.

Visitation 5-8p.m. Tuesday and 1-8p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Lisa will be at the church 10a.m. Thursday until the time of the Mass.

Lisa was born in Royal Oak, MI on August 20, 1955, daughter of Louis Jr. and Joyce Lepri.
She graduated from Powers High School and attended U of M Flint.
She married Mark Accardo on June 27th 1981 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Lisa was employed by Family Community Credit Union for 13 years, with an additional 10 years at the St. Joseph's Hospital FCCU office.

She also enjoyed being a para-pro at Carman/Ainsworth School. She loved the annual camping trips with her extended family. She was an avid Scrabble player and loved having matches with her mom and sisters. She loved to cook and made the best meatballs in town. Lisa also loved children and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Lisa attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Church as well as serving many years for Holy Redeemer Bingo.

Lisa was the loving mother of two children, Mark Anthony Jr. and Thomas Louis. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Mark of 30 years, her mother, Joyce Lepri and her six sisters, Maryanne Dungerow, Joanne Lepri, Nancy Lepri, Karen (Andrew)Ondes, Patty Lepri, Lia (Bob) Christy and two brothers, Louis (Karen) Lepri III, Dr. John (Dr. Jill) Lepri and well as several nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law, Karen (Mike) Vechell and special family, Mariann Quaderer, Cecy Alarcon and Kris Surdu.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Louis Lepri Jr., niece, Tracey Dungerow, and nephew, Jeffery Dungerow.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Genesys Regional Medical Center and Cancer Institute and special thank you to Diane Willing and Brian's House.
