Neil Talmadge Bell, 56, of Broken Arrow, died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at his home. Born Oct. 15, 1957, in McAlester, he was the son of Newell Talmadge and Ethel Mae (Hobbs) Bell. He was a raised and educated in McAlester, graduating from McAlester High School. He married Crystal Jailene Carrell on July 26, 1980, in McAlester. They lived in Broken Arrow all their married life. He was a machinist for several years and later he went to truck driving school and became an over the road truck driver until his death. Survivors include his wife, Crystal Jailene Carrell Bell, of the home; mother, Ethel Mae (Hobbs) Bell, of McAlester; sister, Donna Kidd and husband, Bryan, of McAlester; sister-in-law, Janet; nieces, Kristi, Alisha, Shelli and Jasmine; nephews, Aaron and Shawn, Joe, Jasper and David; great-nieces, Kambri, Hensley and Jayla; great-nephews, Tavien, Jackson and Grayson, and aunts and uncles, Lavonne Lester, Ethel and Clarence Huggins, Sue Hobbs, Juanita and Royal Williams, Geneva and Bobby Vaughn, Janelle and Everett Beaver and Leonard Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his father, Newell Talmadge Bell; uncles, Bill and Lloyd Hobbs, Wendell White, Gene McDugle and Cory Lester; aunts, Alice McDugle, Gladys White and Nola Hobbs, and mother-in-law, Janet. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Main and Oklahoma Church of Christ with Red Coleman and Doug Dawson officiating. Burial will be at Bache-Red Oak Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Pallbearers will be Bryan Kidd, Shawn Kidd and Danny Heathcock.
