OBITUARY from Altoona Mirror February 6, 1930 - ACCIDENT VICTIM DIES OF INJURIES - CARROLLTOWN, Feb. 6. - Frank Ager, victim of on accident early this week in a sawmill near Ebensburg where he was employed, died this morning at 1 o'clock in the Spangler hospital from the severe injuries received when he was hurled into a pile of lumber when his clothing caught in the machinery in the mill. Mr. Ager was born in Barr township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ager, the father now deceased, and was aged 51. He was united in marriage with Margaret V. McNulty in St. Benedict’s church twenty-nine years ago. He is survived by his wife, mother and these children: Alvin Ager of Carrolltown, Blanche, a nurse In Pittsburgh, Mrs, William Jeffers of Pittsburgh, Mary, Bertha, Thomas, Leo, Mildred and Robert, all at home, and these brothers and sisters: William, Harry, Bert and Mrs. Andrew Kirsch, all of Nicktown, Herman of West Carroll township, Mrs. John Kennedy of Penn, Pa., Mrs. Joseph Lehman of Clearfield and Mrs. Walter Mulvehill of Johnstown. Mr. Ager was a farmer by occupation. In the winter he followed lumbering and was mostly employed in the sawmill where he received the injuries which caused his death. The body was taken to the home in West Carroll township from where funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning, with requiem mass in St. Benedict’s Catholic church at 9 o’clock. Interment will be made in St. Benedict’s cemetery.
