Haney, 94, of Galesburg died at 7:55 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg. She was born Feb. 20, 1914, in Cherry Box, Mo., to DeWitt and Sarah Barnes Daniels. She married Clarence Miller. She later married Soloman 'Buster' Reading. She then married Ed 'Tex' Haney. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Reffett of Abingdon; a son, Gary Reading of Galesburg; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald Miller; one brother; and two sisters. She had lived in Galesburg since 1955. She was a homemaker and had worked at Alton Box Company for several years. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Galesburg. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will be in Gerlaw Cemetery at 1 p.m. Saturday.
