Charles Raymond Awbrey of Greencastle, Indiana, passed away Wednesday morning, May 7, 2008. He was 97.
He attended Manuel High School in Indianapolis.
He married Edith O. (Lee) Awbrey on October 29, 1939, she survives. Mr. Awbrey had been a truck driver with the Commercial Linen Supply Company for over 40 years, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; son, Gerald R. Awbrey; daughter, Charlene Fugate; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10th in Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home in Greencastle.
Burial: Coatesville Cemetery.
