A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of New Orleans, he died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at age 51. A private graveside service will be held Sunday at the Jewish Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Barry Weinstein. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Van Os Becker , of Baton Rouge; three sons, Daniel Becker , of Austin, Texas, and Michael Becker and Scott Becker , both of Baton Rouge; a sister, Marsha Zander and her husband, Skip, of New Orleans; two brothers, Hal Becker and his wife, Linda, of Mandeville, and Cary Becker and his wife, Tricia, of New Orleans; numerous nieces and nephews, friends; and Dr. Joseph Edelman, his mentor. He was co-founder and chief operating officer of Net-Work Long Distance, CEO of Round 2 Inc., board member of B'nai Israel Congregation, treasurer of the Jewish Federation of Greater Baton Rouge, member of the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge, and executive trustee of PI Foundation. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Aug. 3, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Becker home. Arrangements by Rabenhorst Funeral Home
