He is survived by sons, Charles Sr. (Deborah) and Paul, daughter Paulette (David) Widener, all of Sparta; grandsons Charles Jr. (Jennifer), Black River Falls, Wis., and Andrew (Kimberly) of Mazomanie, Wis.; granddaughter Julie (Ken) Wienke of Sparta; great-grandchildren, Kimberly Burkhalter (fiancé Tyler Lockington), Kristine (Scott) Powelson, Kyle Burkhalter, all of Sparta, and Derrick Amundson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and great-great-grandchildren, Harley and Landen Powelson, Lilly Lockington, all of Sparta.
