Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 5 at Collins Christian Church with Pastor Scott Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.
Carolyn was born on June 11, 1934 in Story County to Thomas and Irene (Dodd) Stratton. She graduated from Collins High School.
Carolyn retired from Donnelley Marketing. She also worked as a dispatcher for the Story County Sheriffs Department.
Carolyn enjoyed watching Hawkeye basketball and baking sugar cookies and cinnamon rolls for other people.
Carolyn is survived by a son, James William (Sherry) Anderson of Carlisle; a daughter, Jo Lee (John) Cordes of Allison; a brother Ronald (Margaret) Stratton of Collins; and 7 grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, a stillborn daughter Terry Lynn in 1957, and a granddaughter, Katy Lou Ann Cordes.
