She was preceded in death by her parents Sam L. and Josephine Fagan Davis, her husband Sam Carson Brown, two children Josephine Butler and Lewis V. "She was a lifelong resident of this area. Her hobbies were flowers, gardening and being a mother. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Coalfield.
