DALTON, BENTLEY JOHN - born February 4, 1932 went to be with Jesus on June 30, 2011 at 7:47 p.m. He was a Christian and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Morristown TN.
He was an employee of Pontiac Motor Division in Pontiac, MI for 33 years and president of the East Tennessee International UAW retired workers council. He was born in Thorn Hill TN and resided in Talbott TN.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, William Jasper Dalton and Cynthia Ann Jordan-Dalton; loving parents TIlmon Harrison Dalton and Hattie Pearl Coffey-Dalton, all of Tennessee; brother Horace M. Dalton of Littleton, CO; sister Zelma Edna Dalton-Frye of Pontiac, MI and Nephew Mitchell Dwayne England of Morristown,TN.
Loving husband to and survived by Mandy Marie Dalton, loving father to and survived by daughter Lynette Marie Dalton and son Steven John Dalton of Talbott,TN. Survived also by sister Alta Okie Dalton-Beeler of Wyandotte, MI, sister Mattie Jane Dalton-Sulfridge of Thorn Hill, brother Bernard Bryan Dalton of Bean Station, TN, brother Thomas Judson Dalton of Tazewell, TN and sister Dorothy Jean Dalton-England of Talbott, TN. He is also Uncle to many nephews and nieces whom reside in Colorado, Nevada. Michigan and Tennessee whom he loved very much. He also has a host of cousins and friends of which he loved.
Pall bearers will be from his beloved church family at Calvary Baptist Church. He will be so missed by friends and family. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday July 3rd, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery in Thorn Hill.
The Family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday prior to services at the church.
