Lincoln Allison Died Last Night
Well Known Shop Employee Dies After Being Ill Since July 23.
Lincoln Allison, well known shop employee and a former member if the Washington police force, died at 7 o'clock Thursday evening at his home at 912 east Sixth street. The condition of Mr. Allison had been critical for several days and death was not unexpected. Mr. Allison came home from his work July 22 because of illness and he had been confined to his home and bed ever since that date. He was a round house employee at the shops.
Mr. Allison was born in Barr township 57 years ago and was a son of Joseph and Sarah (Burris) Allison. For thirty years or more he had been living in Washington. In September, 1887 he was married to Anna Barrett and nine children born to them are still living. They are Mabel, of Jacksonville, Fla., Joe of Counsel Bluffs, Iowa, and Charles, Arthur, Pearl, Merle, Harold, Noble and Eloise, all living at home. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Allison was a member of the Odd Fellows and the Red Men and also belonged to the Christian church.
