Arland L. "Andy" Anders, 62, 12967 Dohoney Road, was dead on arrival at 5:44 a.m. Sunday at Defiance Hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Columbia City, Ind., the son of Robert and Lucille (Rice) Anders. In 1975, he married Bonita "Bonnie" Schuller, who survives. He served in the Air Force from 1951-52. A pattern maker at General Motors Central Foundry Division for 32 years, he was a former member of the pattern maker League of Fort Wayne and was a member of St. mark Lutheran Church, the elks, and the Grand Lodge of F&AM of Indiana.
Also surviving are his mother, Defiance; six sons, Tim of Cave Creek, Ariz., Jeff of Bryan, and Mark, Evan, Cary and Steve, all of Defiance; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Pamela) Rhoades of Van Wert, Mrs. Jay (Vicky) Loewer of Dayton, and Mrs. Kirk (Lesley) Lehman, Defiance; a stepson, Ken Haase, Holgate; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Judith) Odier, Clearbrook, Minn.; and 19 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his father and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home. Rev. William Schultz will officiate. Entombment will be in Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to Retarded Children of Defiance.

Services for Arland L. (Andy) Anders were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home. Rev. William Schultz officiated. Burial was in Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers were Mark, Tim, Evan, Cary, Jeff and Steve Anders.
