SAMUEL BAUGHER, a highly respected citizen died at his home in East Berlin at 8:15 o'clock on Wednesday evening, after a lingering illness from heart trouble and dropsy, aged 67 years.
He spent most of his life on a farm near East Berlin, and about five years ago he became a citizen of that borough.
He is survived by his wife, one brother, Luther Baugher, of York, and a sister. Mrs. J. Decker.
The funeral was held at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning.
Services being conducted in the Reformed church, of that place, by the Rev. Mr. Smith, of York. Interment was made in the East Berlin cemetery.
Mr. Baugher saw active service in the Civil War.

Rest In Peace - Civil War service began on September 6, 1864, in Franklintown, York Co., Pa., when he enlisted with Co. I, 209th Pa Inf. He served at the rank of private until honorably discharged May 31, 1865.|
