Rita C. Adams, 82, of McSherrystown, died Saturday, Sept. 27 at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Adams Sr., who died January 18, 1984.
Born Sept. 12, 1921, in Oriental, N.C., she was the daughter of Michael and Gertrude (Keffe) Connolly.
She was retired from Maggie's Craft Shop in Hanover after 26 years of service and was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown.
Surviving are a son, Trooper Robert F. Adams Jr., of New Market, Maryland; two sisters, Josephine Fitzsimmons of Iselin, N.J.; Trudy Connolly of New Bern, N.C.; and a grandson.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Annunciation Church, McSherrystown with the Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating. Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown.
