Betty Lee (Knadler) Armbrester, 86, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Morgantown surrounded by her family.
Born September 26, 1924 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late John David Knadler and Myrtle Virginia (Kyner) Knadler.
She was a 1943 graduate of Martinsburg High School and attended Martinsburg Business College.
She was an active member of the Suncrest United Methodist Church, Chapter B, P. E.O. Sisterhood and a volunteer with "Meals on Wheels" of Morgantown for over 30 years.
Mrs. Armbrester had previously worked at the VA Medical Center and Hedgesville High School as a secretary.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula A. Wilson and husband, David, of Morgantown; two grandchildren, Courtney Ruth and Paden Donald Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul "Vernon" Armbrester; two infant sons who died at childbirth; a brother, Charles Alfred Knadler and two sisters, Ruth Moscarelli and Geraldine Manspeaker.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Halloran officiating. Interment will be held in the Falling Waters Presbyterian Cemetery at Spring Mills.
Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 5th at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Suncrest United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 479 Van Voorhis Road, Morgantown WV 26505 and Meals on Wheels, 3373 University Avenue, Star City, WV 26505.
A memorial service for Betty and Vernon Armbrester will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Suncrest United Methodist Church in Morgantown.
