Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer (Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois), Tuesday, November 21, 1933:
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Marie Andrews, wife of Roy Andrews of this city, who died at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Granite city, yesterday afternoon, have been completed and will be held from the Straube Funeral Home at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, thence to the Immanuel M.E. Church at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will be made at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Andrews' death occurred at 12:25 o'clock and was attributed to complications resulting from an operation performed last Friday evening.
A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. C. Stullken, Mrs. Andrews was born in Ft. Russell Township, August 19, 1904. The family moved to Edwardsville in 1906, where Mrs. Andrews attended public schools and graduated from Edwardsville High School with the class of 1922.
Her marriage to Mr. Andrews was solemnized on September 10, 1927, by Rev. D.S. Wahl, after which they established their home in this city, where they since resided. Mrs. Andrews was a member of the Immanuel M.E. Church, and was active in the Sunday school and a member of the Dorcas Society of that church.
Mrs. Andrews is survived by her husband, a daughter, Jean Nora, aged two and one-half months, her parents, all of this city, two brothers, Edward H. Stullken, Chicago, and Walter G. Stullken, Edwardsville. One sister, Mrs. Nora C. Spitze, preceded her in death four and one-half years ago.
