Obituary for Martha Kile Farrier Andrews, from "The Hindsborow News" August 8, 1932
Mrs. Joseph Andrews; Martha Kile Farrier was born near Columbus, Ohio, December 8, 1851. She was the oldest of eight children. In the spring of 1867 she came to Illinois with her parents in a covered wagon and settled in Coles County where the family remained for a short time and then moved to a farm s.w. of Hindsboro. She helped blaze the trail of this wild and unsettled country, enduring the hardships falling to the wives and daughters of the early pioneers and to make the community in which she was located a better place to live. She was married to Joseph Andrews January 25, 1873. She had four children and left four brothers, two sisters, eleven grandchildren, and one great grand child.
