Bernard Kenneth "Ben" Box, 80, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Temple, Texas. He was born on December 10, 1933 in Franklin, Texas to Hubert Lewis Box and Laura Stegall Box.
He was a 1951 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1955 graduate of Texas A&M University. He owned and operated Centex Ag Supply in Franklin for 34 years before his retirement. He married Patsy "Pat" LaGrone on December 18, 1954 in Hearne, Texas. He was a life resident of Franklin and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Janet Bush and brother-in-law, Billy "Booty" Bush.
He is survived by: Wife – Pat Box of Franklin; Daughter and Son-in-law – Karen and Norman Klores of Franklin; Son – Robert "Bobby" Box of Franklin; 5 Grandchildren – Jamie Box Wilson and husband, Jeff, Robert Kenneth "Kenny" Box and wife, Cari, Austin Klores and wife, Casey, Ashley Klores and Thomas Box; 2 Great Grandchildren – Joey Wilson and Jordyn Wilson.
Services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Franklin, Texas. Rev, Jimmy Sanders will officiate, Burial will follow in the Henry Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
