A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Streator. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Solon, Baker & Telford Funeral Home in Streator. A recitation of the rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Chicago. She was the daughter of Claude and Kathleen (Fallon) Hoobler. She married Norman T. Collner on Nov. 7, 1953. He died Sept. 22, 1966. She later married Daniel F. Boik on June 17, 1972, in Cornell. He survives in Cornell.
She is survived by daughters, Michele (Alan) Klein of Morton, Ill., and Stephanie (Donald) Boik of Streator; sons, Matthew (Theresa) Collner of Concordia, Mo., Thomas Collner of Monroe, La., and Douglas (Lisa) Collner of Wellington, Fla.; two stepsons, William "Bill" Boik of Cornell and Donald Boik of Streator; 15 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband and a daughter, Jennifer McGrew. Published in the Peoria Journal Star on 1/10/2009
