ARNIN, Elisa; nee KUPFERSCHMIDT; wife of Joseph Martin ARNIN; she was born in St. Louis on 6 July 1862; daughter of Philipp Kupferschmidt, who died 19 Dec. 1899 and Katharine Kupferschmidt, nee Braun, who died on 6 July [1899]; she came to Columbia with her parents in 1875; she was confirmed in our church on 25 March 1877 in our church; she was married on 24 Sept. 1882 to Jos. M. Arnin; the marriage was blessed with 6 children, but a son died in 1902; 2 sons & 3 daughters survive; she died 25 Feb. 1920, aged 57 years, 7 months, 19 days; she was buried on 29 Feb. 1920 in our old cemetery [STPC]; she is survived by her husband, 5 children, 1 son-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, 4 grandchildren [1920 # 9]
