Leona M. Bailey, 90, of Aurora passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Provena Mercy Center.
She was born May 26, 1918 in Chicago the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine Homer.
Leona was employed by Western-Electric for more than twenty years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Leona was a resident of Jennings Terrace for three years.
Survivors include her son, Bern (Cindy) Bailey of Princeton, Indiana; her daughter, Jan DuPuis of DeKalb; a grandson, Gregory (Mickoold) Reed of Carpentersville; a great-grandson, Gregory S. Reed II A sister, Grace Thomas of Marysville, WA; a brother, Patrick Homer of Plainfield as well as numerous nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel McHugh, Virginia Knell and Violet Homer in infancy; four brothers, James, Franklin, Buddy and Eddie Homer
