Ardith A. Anderson, age 93, of Plano, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Alden of Waterford, in Aurora, IL. She was born in Plano, IL on August 20, 1913, the daughter of Nels Peter and Mary E. (Propp) Andersen.
Ardith was a lifelong member of the First Lutheran Church in Plano, IL. Ardith was a clerk for many years; first at Hornsby in Plano, IL, and then later in Yorkville, IL. She was a seamstress for her family and many friends for many years. Ardith was a very hard worker and enjoyed nature, flowers, and animals. She also enjoyed playing cards with her many friends.
She is survived by her children, Arthur A. (Marian) Anderson, Donna (Richard) Wade, both of Plano, IL, and David (Betty) Anderson of Florida; her grandchildren, Luella (Randy) Weeks, Richard Wade, Jr., Rebecca (Bill) Johnson, Teresa Wade, Deborah (Kenny) Burbank, Tamara (Mike) Rosenwinkel, Michael (Julie) Wade, David (Kris) Anderson, Jodie (Chuck) Robbins, Jennifer (Tim) DuSell, Eric Anderson, Michelle Oatley; and her 32 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren, with one more to be born in July, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ardith was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Mary Jane; and a son in infancy; her great-grandchildren, Callie and Mikey Wade; her four sisters; her four brothers; her daughter-in-law, Joyce Marie (Killey) Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at the First Lutheran Church, 200 N. Center Street, Plano, IL with Pastor Bruce Booher officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Bristol, IL.
Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 20 N. Hale Street, Plano, IL.
Memorials in Ardith's name may be directed to either the First Lutheran Church of Plano, Seasons Hospice, or to the charity of donor's choice.
