MARSEILLES - Frank J. Bogacz Sr., 92, of Marseilles, formerly of Morris, died Tuesday morning, May 16, at Rivershores Rehabilitation and Care Center in Marseilles.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church with the Rev. Al Heideke officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fruland Funeral Home in Morris.
Mr. Bogacz was born Jan. 2, 1914, in Morris, to Joseph and Josephine (Peremba) Bogacz. He married Angeline M. Bolatto on June 19, 1941, in Marseilles. She died May 28, 1996.
He graduated from Morris High School and was employed at the Morris Paper Mill as a machinist for more than 50 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II in the Pacific.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, American Legion Post 294, VFW John Martin Steele Post 6049 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 967.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John; and three sisters, Sophia Zullo, Bernice Owczarzak and Rose Olson.
