Alice D. Baker, age 99, of West Frankfort, formerly of Johnston City, passed away Jan. 28, 2005 at 5:40 a.m. at the Helia Health Care in Benton. She was born April 6, 1905 in Crofton, Kentucky to John Martin and Mary ( Loveless ) Martin.
She was married to William M. Baker and he preceded her in death in 1975.
She is survived by a son, Harold G. Baker and wife, Arlene of Johnston City, four daughters, Virginia Odle and Phyllis Grant both of West Frankfort, Delores Johnson and husband, Rusty of West Frankfort and Wanda Rosell and husband, Ray of Mishawaka, Indiana. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Mary Fay Baker, two grandsons, Randall McCann and Michael Baker, one great grandaughter, Kimberly Arview and by four sisters and seven brothers.
Mrs. Baker was a member of the Third Baptist Church of West Frankfort.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2005 at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Rev. Joe Zbinden officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday to the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to the Third Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home ~
