"EVITTS, Nettie dau. S/A d. Aug. 17, 1861-1 Yr..3 Mo..29 d." This particular Nettie buried in Section 9 near her grandmother, Sarah Shaw in Inlet Cemetery, Lee Center Township, Lee County, Illinois. A cousin, Tom Turnipseed, of Colorado emailed me a copy of Ada L. Skinner's Life Insurance Application which states that Ada had a sister who died at age 4 months in 1863. Infant had dysentery. Ada signed the application in 1915. Evitts Family Bible states she "died young". I tend to believe this is correct Nettie Evitts and that she was an infant when she died. Her tombstone was very weathered and hard to decipher.
