Leslie Allen Alexander, 80, of White Heath, died January 29, 2001 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello. Private funeral services will be held at a later date with burial in Ingram Cemetery.
Mr. Alexander was born February 6, 1920 in White Heath, a s/o Arlie Allen and Nellie A. Blacker Alexander. He married Juanita Beard on December 24, 1942 in White Heath. She survives; also a son, Arlie of Monticello; daughters: Mary Ann Alexander, Urbana; Debbie Baker, Monticello; and Pam Hays, Bloomington; sister, Mary Ziegler, Champaign; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter and two sisters.
Mr. Alexander was a World War II veteran; a herdsman at the University of Illinois; and a farmer. He was a member of American Legion Post 101 in Monticello; a former Sangamon Township Trustee and member of the Piatt County Board of Review.
Memorials may be made to Kirby Hospital.
