Mrs. Sarah E. Austin, aged 94 years, for 28 years an invalid, died in her home in Boody at 3:15 o'clock Tuesday morning, due to the infirmities of advanced age. Mrs. Austin was one of the oldest residents of Macon county.
Mrs. Austin was born Feb. 13, 1824 in Indiana. Her husband, Jesse Austin died 17 years ago at the age of 88 years. She had been a resident of Macon county for 60 years, 57 of which were passed in a log cabin near Boody. She was a member of the United Brethren church of Boody for 30 years. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Johnson and Mrs. John Kissel, both of Boody.
Funeral services will be conducted in the United Brethren church of Boody this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in the Peru cemetery.

Funeral services of Sarah E. Austin were conducted Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Mr. Pasley in the Mt. Zion Methodist church. The church was filled by the many relatives and friends who attended.
Burial was in Peru cemetery.
