James Ainsworth, 25 a resident of Rockford up to two years ago, was fatally injured at Olive Springs, Cal., Nov 7 when he was crushed between 2 logs at the Monterey Bay Redwood Lumber Company mill. He died a few hours later at a Sant Cruz hospital.
Ainsworth was attaching a line to a log when he was caught between 2 of the large timbers and crushed before he could be extricated. Two blood transfusions failed to save his life.
Surviving are his widow the former Marie Goodrich of Rockford; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ainsworth, Roscoe; several brothers and sisters and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Dorthy Goodrich, 334 Riverside Blvd., Loves Park.
The body will be cremated and internment will be in Rockford at a later date.
