GALENA, Ill. -- Corinne A. Albaugh, 84, of Galena, died at 7:20 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at the Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at the Galena United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dan Schenck officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. Friends may call from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, Galena. Friends also may call after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
She was born on April 2, 1925, in Galena, daughter of Frank and Amy (Allen) Wagner. She married Robert B. Albaugh on Aug. 29, 1944, on the U.S.S. Yorktown; he preceded her in death on March 30, 1998.
She was a member of the Galena United Methodist Church, the church choir and the United Methodist Women.
She enjoyed antiques and going different places, especially to Arkansas.
Surviving are two sons, R. Craig (Jane) Albaugh, of Galena, and Lance Albaugh, of Hot Springs, Ark.; two grandchildren, Jodi (friend, Todd Diffenderfer) Albaugh, of McConnell, and Brad (Amanda) Albaugh, of Monroe, Wis.; four great-grandchildren, Quinn and Paige Sowle and Brynn and Avah Albaugh.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
