In 1856 Ellen came to Marshall County from Boston, Mass. with her widowed mother and siblings Joseph & Anna. The names of her parents are not known.
A year later in 11857 she married Benjamin Martin.
The couple lived in Marshall County and had a large family of 11 children.
They were Etheleen, Josiah, Mattie, Charles, Benajah, Caleb, Frank, Marie, Lucius, Nellie & Grover.
After a 6 months sickness which confined Ellen to bed, her last words were, "I am a little better".
Many Martins were buried in this cemetery.
