Peoria, IL - Velma Ilene "Peggy" Berry, 85, of Peoria, formerly of Neponset, died at 5:20 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Rose Garden Care Center.
Born Jan. 21, 1918, in Kewanee to Ernest and Anna Lee Mathews Pardue, she married Alden Berry. He died in 1971.
She also was preceded in death by one sister and one grandson.
Surviving are one daughter, Allison (and Jiri) Myska of San Diego, Calif.; three sons, Sam (and Donna) of Astoria, John (and Carla) of Pekin and Dave (and Janice) of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Leola Gunning of Springfield and Shirley Schmidt of Chehalis, Wash.; and 10 grandchildren.
She graduated from beauty school.
She was a member of Neponset United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery in Neponset.
