Mrs. Edith Aird, widow of Hugh Aird, died in St. Louis a few days ago, the remains being brought to Ava for interment. The Aird family lived in Carbondale a number of years ago. She leaves three children - Mrs. Richard High, of St. Louis; Hugh Aird, of St. Louis; and Dr. A. J. Aird, of Carterville; also two sisters - Mrs. Rebecca Thompson, and Mrs. Mary Sammons, both of Campbell Hill.
