Linzy Bale of Mason city died March 6, 1979 at Springfield Memorial Medical Center.
He was a retired framer. He was a member of the Jackson-Keen American Legion Post 496 and a veteran of World War I.
He was born in Pike View, Ky., Dec. 30, 1895, to William and Anna Osborn Bale. He married Florence Scott in Paxton on Aug. 21, 1929.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Crow of Joy, Mrs. Martha Jane Warren of Pekin; Two sisters, Mrs. Fanny Loring of Chicago, Mrs. Clarice Hoehn of Springfield; Two brothers Lafe of New Holland, Willard of Creve Coeur; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
One son and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Services were Thursday at Cain Funeral Home; the Rev. Ralph Deming officiated. Burial was in Easton Cemetery.
