Rev. John Cornish of north of Mulberry Grove, an uncle of Attorney J. H. Allio of Greenville,died at his home northeast of Mulberry Grove, March 12, 1920, aged 78 years, 8 months and 13 days.
John Cornish was born in western Pennsylvania July 28, 1841, a son of Henry and Susie Cornish. On August 28, 1863 he was married to Miss Lavina Lineman and in 1866 they came to Bond county and settled on a farm northeast of Mulberry Grove where they have resided. In 1901 he was ordained a minister in the Progressive Brethren church and was pastor of the Brethren church northwest of Mulberry Grove. He is survived by his two sons, Harry and John J. of Mulberry Grove, one daughter, Mrs. Susan Diamond of Woburn and one sister Mrs. Aurilla Allio of North Edmonton, Canada. Burial in the Dunkard cemetery.
