Hattie was born May 13, 1921, in Magnolia, IL, the daughter of Guy Edward and Ida Victoria Johnson Graves.

She married Frank Eugene Chamberlain June 27, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1994.

They had two children, Linda Lee (and Roy Bevis) and Bonnie Kaye (Clifford Keith Schrock, who died in 1982) (and Douglas R. Koke). There are three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Glenn (and Jacque) Graves of Santa Ana, CA; and one sister, Ida Mae (and Lyle) Flesburg of Wausau, WI.

She loved to quilt and grow a garden, plus all kinds of flowers.

She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Varna, IL, where services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Lane Knouse will officiate. Visitation will be two hours before services at the church. Burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery in rural Wenona. Varna Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
