Joseph A. (Gus) Aydt of McLeansboro died at 3:40 a.m. Monday at the Hamilton Memorial Hospital at the age of 74.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the St. Clemens Catholic church in McLeansboro, where he was a member with the Rev. Timothy J. Foley officiating. Burial will be in the Crouch Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Donelson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Mr. Aydt was born on June 21, 1894 in Hamilton County, the son of Joseph and Julia (Miller) Aydt.
On Feb. 27, 1921 he married Ethel Maulding who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Verla Rae Boyer of Oceanside, California, a brother, Robert Aydt of Dahlgren, and two grandhchildren.
