Minnie was the daughter of Daniel Alexander Seitz and Malissa Hiser Seitz.

Mrs. Minnie N. Cockrell died at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at her home, 1758 North Monroe street. The cause of her death was lung trouble from which she had suffered about a year. Mrs. Cockrell was thirty-seven years old. She was born near Oakley and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Seitz, who are still living there. She was married to George M. Cockrell, who survives her. Three children survive Mrs. Cockrell, Lawrence, aged seventeen; Pearl aged fifteen and Alvin, aged nine. There are two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Jessie Funk of Oakley, Mrs. Nettie Funk of Lohrville, Ia., and John Seitz of the Decatur Fountain company, Decatur. Mrs. Cockrell was a member of the United Brethren church at Oakley and of the tribe of Ben Hur. The funeral will be held at noon Wednesday at the Oakley church. The services will be conducted by Rev. D. J. Blickenstaff of Oakley. The burial will be in the Cross cemetery.
