Mrs. Floy M. Adamson, 77, of No 7 Hunley Drive, died suddenly Thursday morning at her home, while preparing the family's Thanksgiving dinner. She was one of this town's most respected citizens, and was a faithful member of the First Methodist Church of Olney.
She was born in Claremont Township on August 4, 1890, daughter of the late William S. and Nola Mushrush Shafer. She and her husband, Roy, lived in Claremont Township for many years, then moved to Sumner, where they lived for seventeen years. They had made their home in Olney for the past three years.
Her survivors include her husband, Roy, two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Nola Mae) Mushrush of Chauncy, and Mrs. Estelle (Helen) Uhl of West Liberty, and a son, Willaim Hartwell Adamson of near Stringtown: one brothers, Joy Shafer of Ft. Myers, Florida, ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Schaub Funeral Home until noon on Saturday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until funeral time.
Funeral services for Mrs. Adamson were held Saturday in the First Methodist Church with Rev. Robert D. Mushrush and Rev. Fred W. Schwarzlose officiating. Interment in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
