Avis (Pat) Mae Armstrong, 85 of Fox, Oklahoma passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at her home in Fox. She was born on January 13, 1928 in Hackleburg, Alabama to the late Orion Brittnell and Joycee Manirva Tessener Brittnell. Pat was raised in the Hackleburg and in 1942 moved to Phoenix, Arizona. She married Lester Ray Armstrong on November 1, 1951 in Lordsburg, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2006.

They moved to Madill in 1965 where she worked at the Madill Pants Factory, Obie's and Parks Café. Pat later moved to Lone Grove where she was manager of the Lone Grove Apartments. In 1998 she moved to Fox where she lived the rest of her life. She was a member of the Fox Baptist church and she enjoyed game shows and she loved playing games and being with her family.

She is survived by: Sons: Bryan Armstrong and wife Julie, Gainesville, Tx; Steve Armstrong and wife Tammie, Kingston, Ok; Mark Armstrong and wife Hope, Fox, Ok; 7 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: June Heath, Phoenix, Ark; Faye Thiel, Pennsauken, NJ; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 1 brother; Curt Brittnell. Casket Bearers: Lee Armstrong, Shawn Armstrong, Levi Armstrong, Brandon Taylor, Ryan Taylor.
