Rock Island - Services for Mary Gertrude Adlfinger, 78, of 2816 21 1/2 Ave., will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 11:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Entombment will be Calvary mausoleum, Rock Island. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, with a wake service at 8 p.m. Mr. Adlfinger died Sunday at Franciscan Medical Center, Rock Island.
She was employed 36 years as office secretary at Alleman High School, Rock Island, retiring in 1987.
Mary Gertrude Kimball married Harry Adlfinger in 1931, in Peoria, Ill. He died Feb. 27, 1987. She was a member of the church.
Memorials may be made to Alleman High School.
Survivors include daughters, Joan Freed and Gerara Padakis, both of Rock Island; sons, Frank, Rock Island; and Dr. Vernon, Bettendorf; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
