Delmar D. Butler, 70, of 624 S. Ledford St., Harrisburg, died 12:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Alan Porter officiating. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery with military rites. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Saline County to the late George and Louise (York) Butler, who preceded him in death. He married the former Barbara Newton on Nov. 6, 1987, and she survives.
He was a Korean War veteran. He was a retired salesman for Gilbert Swoboda Company and a member of the Harrisburg American Legion and Equality Christian Center.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kathy Browning, Mont., two sons, Keith (Karrie) Butler, Newburgh, Ind., Jeff (Robin) Butler, Harrisburg, three stepchildren, Nancy Hise and Patty Davis, Harrisburg, Judy Maloney, Equality; one brother, Danny (Linda) Butler, Harrisburg, one sister, Ramona Fort, Harrisburg; eight grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and four great-stepgrandchildren.
