Charles Abraham, of Glen Crossing, died at his home at 11:15 o'clock this morning. He was born in Bohemia on January 27, 1867, and at the time of his death had reached the age of 77 years and one day. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Abraham. He had lived near Glen Carbon since 1904 when he came to this country. Mr. Abraham was a coal miner and a member of the Progressive Miners, Local No. 80, and the C.S.P.S. Bohemia Lodge.
He was married in May, 1925, to Mrs. Kathrynn Novacek, who survives him. He is also survived by two grandchildren. One son, Antone C. Abraham, preceded him in death on July 6, 1943.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Straube Funeral Home with William Snajdr, Sr., in charge. Interment will be in the Buck Road Cemetery. The body may be viewed after Saturday noon.
