Leslie E. Babbs, 65, of Stanford died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bloomington after a brief Illness.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. today at Brooks Grove Cemetery in Stanford with the Rev. Harry Grevel officiating.
The McReynolds Funeral Home in Stanford was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Babbs was born July 12, 1917, in Stanford, a son of Hillard and Emma (Smothers) Babbs.
Survivors include one son, Gary of Forrest, four daughters, Linda Angus and Kathy Rhoades, both of Fairbury, Donna Stehle of Forrest and Gloria Bombar of Chicago; two brothers, Donald and Robert, both of Stanford; one sister, Mary Orrick of Marquette Heights; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, one brother, two sisters and one granddaughter.
