Robert D. Buser was born on February 4, 1931 near Arcola to Carl Buser and Helen Lucille (Ingram) Buser. Surviving siblings include Jim Buser of Centerville, TN, Clara Elder of Humberg and Beulah "Susie" Smith of Mansfield, Texas. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Bivens and his parents.
He married Betty Schack on September 2, 1952 in Piggott, Arkansas. She survived as well as children, Robert D. Buser Jr. and Sharon Buser, of Murphysboro, Keith and Patty Buser of Elkville and Lyle and Karen Buser of Du Quoin.
He was a construction foreman.
Mr. Buser died at the age of 75 on Thursday, May 25, 2006 in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro. His funeral was held at Pettett Funeral Home. Revs. Gary Pruitt and Rick Wisely officiated.
