Daniel Allison brought his family to Walnut Grove in Woodford County Illinois in 1831. Came from Ohio, settled in Montgomery Twp, north of the village of Farnisville, the year before the Black Hawk war where he lived until his death. He died at 86, member of M. E. Church for 50 years.
Daniel married Margaret Kincaid, daughter of George & Margaret Renick Kincaid in Greenbrier, West Virginia 30 Aug 1804. They moved to Gallia County, Ohio had eleven children before moving to Illinois.

Daniel & Margaret were close to Benjamin & Rachel Allison. Both families were in West Virginia before moving to Gallia County, Ohio. When Benjamin died in 1807, Daniel was named with Rachel as guardians of Benjamin's children. It is unknown how or if he was a son or nephew of Benjamin.
(As Benjamin's descendant through Samuel & Margaret Knapp and their daughter Susanah Ella who married Noah Strait Clark, I suspect Daniel was a blood relative of Benjamin. Daniel's family moved to Woodford County in 1831, Ella & Noah moved to Jasper County, IL)
